The project

The main objective of the project is to transfer to the Vietnamese partners the required expertise to implement an integrated watershed management approach in Vietnam, with the aim of elaborating various intervention scenarios and of defining the action priorities for the improvement of the Vietnamese rivers water quality. These knowledge and know-how will be gained, during the project, by the accomplishment of all required activities for the application of integrated management on the upstream subwatershed of the river Cau. This watershed will thus serve as a pilot case study for the training of the Vietnamese participants, as for them to be able, at the end of the project, to apply the integrated management principles on other watersheds in Vietnam. During the project, some activities will also be dedicated to communications with local collectivities concerning the general principles of integrated watershed management and concerning also the results of the project.
